Moreda is a company with a long history behind it. It came into being in 1879, with the incorporation of Sociedad de las Minas y Fábricas de Moreda y Gijón.

Thanks to teamwork and our philosophy of Ongoing Improvement, we have become one of the leading European companies in the sector of mild steel for fencing; conforming to the strictest demands and controls in terms of Quality, Safety and the Environment. We are one of the most important and prestigious industries in the sector, thanks to our broad range of products, manufacturing capacity and the service and attention we give our customers.
Our head offices are in Gijón, where we have a 90,000-m2 site.
In order to provide the best service for our customers we have regional offices with warehouses located in Madrid, Seville, Vitoria and Barcelona; and sales agents in Galicia, Castilla-León, the Canary Islands and Almería. This team of professionals allows us to serve the entire geography of the Spanish State.
Our technical capacity and our competitive policy have led us to face the challenges of the international market. We regularly ship approximately 30% of our production to Europe, mainly to the EU. We have created a trade network with three Divisions according to language areas, French, English and German, as well as an agency in Portugal, to serve the market in that country.
Our objective at Moreda is to improve day by day in order to make your work easier by supplying the best products. Our products have barcodes that enable intelligent computerised management of our warehouses, which is, without a doubt, the first step on the road towards electronic commerce.
We have a New Product and Application Development team that designs aesthetically pleasing, decorative articles that act as protective or deterrent elements, but which also blend in with the natural environment.
Moreda, in its concern for the Environment, has carried out all the necessary actions that enabled us at the end of 1999, after two years of preparation and effort, to obtain Certification of our Environmental Management System according to the ISO 14001 standard, which makes us a pioneering company in the sector.
